Description

This parish boundary stone, dated 1822, is located on the east side of Crooked Yard Road in Macclesfield Forest. It is made of sandstone and features a semi-circular head with the inscription "M 1822" on its west face, indicating its association with Macclesfield. There are other identical stones marking the boundary between Macclesfield Forest and Rainow. Part of this stone is situated in the former Macclesfield Urban District.
