Description
The parish boundary stone, located at the side of the drive to Tupclose Farm, dates from 1849. It is made of buff sandstone and features an ashlar finish with a semi-circular top. The south-west face of the stone is inscribed with "S" for Sutton and the year 1849, while the north-east face bears the letter "F" for Forest and the same year. Similar boundary stones of this style and date can be found in Macclesfield Forest and Hurdsfield.
