Description
The parish boundary stone, located 100 meters northeast of Clough House, dates back to 1822. It is a semi-circular headed sandstone block featuring a well-cut inscription "M 1822" on its east face, indicating its association with Macclesfield. This stone is one of several identical stones that mark the boundary between Macclesfield Forest and Rainow. Part of this stone lies within the former Macclesfield Urban District.
