Description

Cesterbridge House is a house dating to circa 1840. It is constructed of coursed squared buff sandstone rubble with a Kerridge stone-slate roof, a stone ridge, and two stone chimneys. The house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-bay front. The end bays feature 16-pane sashes with flat, wedged stone heads. A reeded doorcase with rosettes in the corners contains a four-panelled door, above which is a 12-pane sash. There are considerable portions to the rear of the main block. The building, formerly known as Ivy Cottage, is listed for group value only.
