Mile post at Shepherds Brow, dating from the mid 19th century, is made of cast iron. It features a curved sign indicating distances: "Dunham: to Altrincham 1 Mile, to Northwich 11, Knutsford 6 Miles." The post is circular and topped with a hemi-spherical cap.
