Description
This milepost, located 70 meters east of the junction with Stoney Lane, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a low, squat design topped with a domed cap. The post supports a curving plate that is divided into two sections, with raised letters inscribing the distances to various locations: Kelsall 2 miles, Northwich 7.5 miles, Tarvin 4.5 miles, Knutsford 14.5 miles, Chester 10 miles, and Altrincham 19.5 miles.
