Description

Nursery Cottage is a cottage orné dating from the 19th century, likely the early 19th century. It is constructed of rendered brick with a slate roof. The building has a single-storey, cross-shaped plan, featuring a semicircular bay at the head with a conical roof, and hipped gables to the remaining three arms. The original door in the semicircular bay has been replaced with a window; a new door is located on the left wing. There are three windows in the semicircular bay, and one in each side wing, and two at the rear. All windows are casements with two lights, glazing bars, and small triangles of coloured glass. The cottage has overhanging eaves, a steep roof, and central stacks.
