Shippon 25 Metres North Of Hall Green Farmhouse

The building is a shippon located 25 metres north of Hall Green Farmhouse, dated 1674 but primarily constructed in the early to mid-19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is built of English garden wall bond brick with red sandstone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof with stone ridge and copings. The shippon has a rectangular plan and is two stories high with a six-bay south front. It includes a partial stone base and a stepped brick cornice. The second bay has a reset moulded stone doorcase with a segmental head and a heavy lintel inscribed with "R S 1674". Other doors and windows on the ground floor feature segmental brick heads and stone settings for catches and hinges. Above these, there is a line of diamond and cross pattern ventilation slots and two circular pitchholes with stone surrounds. The interior contains heavy ceiling beams. The building is included for its group value.
