Description
The building is a shippon located immediately southeast of Stancombe Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with gabled ends and red clay ridge tiles. The northeast corner is rounded. The shippon is rectangular in shape and is positioned on the east side of a farmyard, which is bordered by a barn and stables to the south and west, and the farmhouse to the north. The west front faces the yard and includes two shippon doors on the right, which have timber lintels, alternating with three ventilation slits. On the left side, there is an inserted cart garage entrance with doorways on either side; the right-hand doorway has a loft door above it. This shippon is included as part of a group of planned farm buildings.
