Description

Bartington Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse, likely built in the early 18th century, with later recasing and refurbishment in the early 19th century. It features Flemish bond brown brick and a grey slate roof. The building has a basement, two main storeys, and an attic, with three windows on the front facade.

There are five stone steps leading to the entrance, which has a door made up of four octagonal panels and two rectangular glazed panels, set within a classical doorcase that includes Ionic flutes on the pilasters, a pulvinated frieze, and a dentilled pediment. The basement windows are small-paned casements located under cambered gauged-brick arches. The main storeys have recessed 16-pane sash windows with rusticated keystone wedge lintels and projecting stone cills. The attic windows are situated in the end gables, and there is a tall stair window at the rear, also under a cambered gauged-brick arch. The rear wing does not display any notable features and has two flush gable chimneys.

While the interior could not be inspected, visible features include an oak newel dogleg stair and painted six-panel doors.
