Description

WINSFORD FORMER U.D. MILL LANE SJ 66 NW 4/107 Bradford Mill House. - - II Farmhouse. Early C17. Timber frame with brick infill (originally wattle and daub) and tiled roof (originally thatched). Two storeys. Entrance front: Deep plinth. 11 x 3 cells of small framing with whitewashed brick infill. C19 porch door to right of centre and C20 3-light ground floor windows to right and left. Central 2-light first floor window with 3-light windows to either side. C20 lean-to to right. C19 outshut to left with 3-light C20 ground floor window and 2-light casement window to first floor. Lateral gable stacks. Rear: deep plinth. 11 x 3 cells of small framing. Blocked doorway to right of centre with 3-light ground floor windows to right and left. Blocked 5-light window to left of first floor with chamfered timber mullions. Three-light window to right and 2-light first floor window to left. C20 lean-to outshut to left and C19 addition at right with 2-light cambered-headed ground floor window and 2-light flat linteled window to first floor.
