Description
This structure is a pair of flood gates and a sluice bridge, built around 1890. It is made of red sandstone ashlar and features a cast iron bridge. The bridge has two round arches made of cast iron, which are set between rusticated ashlar piers. The downriver elevation includes lateral and central cut waters that support ramped buttresses, with piers above that have limestone dressings. Ashlar springers support the cast iron bridge from which the sluice gates are suspended.
