Description
Yewtree Farm is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and brick infill, topped with a slate roof. The building consists of two cells and stands two storeys high.
On the entrance front, there is a stone plinth and a structure featuring nine by four cells of small framing, with angle braces on either side and the sixth upright from the left. The windows are from the 19th and 20th centuries. To the left, there is an early 19th-century addition that includes a single-light window on the ground floor and a basket-arched single-light window on the first floor.
The right gable end has posts on the left, right, and centre of the ground floor, with a 20th-century single-light window on the right and six by two cells of small framing on the first floor. The gable features small framing and a V-strut.
At the rear, there are nine by three cells of small framing with brick and wattle and daub infill, along with angle braces on the left and right and the fifth upright from the left. The rear also has 20th-century windows, although some 18th-century casement lights are blocked. An early 19th-century addition is present on the right, featuring a 20th-century window and a splayed head on the ground floor window.
