Description

The building known as the Shippon east of Green Butts is an early 18th-century structure. It features a combination of brick and brick nogged timber framing, topped with a tiled roof. The shippon is two storeys high and has five windows, consisting of 23 panels, along with a two-window wing to the west that forms an "IT" shaped plan. The timber framing extends from the first floor level and is two panels high, supported by passing braces. It includes half heck and full-length boarded doors, as well as hopper light windows with glazing bars. Inside, there are some old beams and joists.
