Description
Calvin House, formerly known as Appletons Warehouse, is an early to mid 19th century brick building located in Stockton on Tees on Green Dragon Yard. The structure stands four storeys tall and features a three-bay dentil roof with brick chimneys. The side bays are adorned with wide Yorkshire sash windows, which have segmental arches above them on the first and second floors. There is a door to the left of the right-hand window on the third floor, and the central area has two wide doorways on the ground floor along with four subsidiary doorways. The north gable includes three small windows, one of which is a Yorkshire sash. A notable feature of the building is its chamfered north-west corner, which facilitates passage from Green Dragon Yard to Calverm Square.
