Description
The building is an art gallery located at No. 9 Theatre Yard in Stockton on Tees. It dates from the early to mid-20th century and is constructed of brick with a pantiled roof. The structure is two storeys high, with a gable end facing north. On the ground floor, there is a stable opening with hinges, and a wide opening above it. To the left, there is one window on the ground floor that is blocked. To the east, there are two sets of six widely spaced blocked windows, each featuring cambered brick arches. Inside, there are two doors and a brick-tiled floor. The cellars are currently used for display purposes. The south gable has two blocked windows and features stone verges, kneelers, and a coping. No. 9 is connected to Nos. 7 and 8 by a single-storey building with a pitched tiled roof that contains the main entrance to the gallery.
