Description
Nos 15 and 17 Westgate is a house that has been converted into a shop with a store above. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed from dressed sandstone with tooled margins and painted rustic quoins. The building features a late 20th-century concrete tiled roof, with stone gable coping on the left-hand side and a shared brick and stone stack on the right-hand side with No. 19 Westgate. It stands two storeys high and has three bays. The shop front is from the late 20th century, while the first floor has late 19th-century sash windows, which are adorned with painted keystones and sills. The rear extensions on the south side are not of particular interest. This building is included for its group value with Nos. 11 and 13 Westgate.
