Description

Nos 7 and 9 Westgate is a house and shop built in the early 19th century. It features dressed sandstone with tooled margins and a clay Gaelic tile roof, complemented by stone gable copings and a central brick stack. The building has three storeys and two bays. The late 19th-century shop front has been altered and includes fluted pilasters and a bracketed fascia. There are also late 19th-century canted bay windows with sashes on the first floor, and the second floor has sashes with painted stone sills. An extension to the rear on the south side is not of interest.
