Description

This is an early 19th-century milestone located 360 metres north of the B6318 junction. It is made of sandstone and features a quadrant-plan domed pillar that stands 0.50 metres high. The milestone is marked with "R B" for Rothbury and "H" for Hexham, indicating distances of 26 miles to Rothbury and 5 miles to Hexham.
