Description

East Farmhouse and the attached cottage are a house from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with the cottage dating from the late 18th century and some alterations made in the 19th century. The farmhouse is constructed of rubble, while the cottage is made of squared rubble, with a porch and some stone dressings that are tooled-and-margined. The roofs are covered with Welsh slate, except for the rear slope of the house which has stone slates, and there are 20th-century brick stacks on the cottage.

The south elevation features two and one-half storeys with two, three, and one bays. The three-bay house has a gabled porch that contains a six-panel door within a chamfered surround, located between the right bays. It has 16-pane and 12-pane windows, with the windows to the left of the porch having tooled-and-margined lintels, while those to the right have timber lintels. There are various blocked openings, and the house has ridge and reduced right end stacks. The taller cottage to the left has a renewed door in a moulded stone surround on the right and features four-pane sash windows. The gables are coped with moulded kneelers and there are end stacks. To the right, there is a single-storey bay that has two windows with stop-chamfered surrounds, slit vents, and a coped end gable.

At the time of the survey, the property was empty and in a state of deterioration.
