Description

The garden walls located southwest of Linden House are likely from the mid-18th century and include elements from earlier construction. The wall is made of both stone and brick, with the internal face of the brick arranged in an irregular stretcher bond. The southern section features squared stone and has a boarded door set in a chamfered surround, connecting to a ha-ha wall. The northern part is constructed of coursed rubble that has been raised with brick, which then extends east as a brick-faced section before returning north. The northern end of the wall incorporates the structure of an earlier building, characterized by long, roughly-shaped quoins.
