Description
Killerby Hall is a large house and cottage, now functioning as a single dwelling, built in the early 19th century and consisting of two sections. The building features roughcast masonry, with the house topped by a graduated green slate roof and roughcast chimney stacks, while the cottage has a pantiled roof. The house is designed in an L-shape with the cottage located on the right side. The entrance is on the left return of the house, and the entrance front is two storeys high with three bays.
The central feature is a six-panel door with a patterned fanlight, set within an open-pedimented stone doorcase that has engaged columns. To the right, there is a late 19th-century stone canted bay window, and to the left, a shallow bow window with reeded pilasters and a 20-pane sash. Above, there are three 16-pane sashes in raised tooled surrounds. The overall design includes a low-pitched hipped roof and a wide three-bay street front, with the left bay being slightly taller. The sashes have been replaced and feature projecting sills.
On the ground floor, there is a central bow window with a replaced six-pane sash. The roof is low-pitched, with a coped right gable and a shaped kneeler, and it is hipped over the left bay. The building has ridge and right end stacks with top bands. The cottage, which is set back and two storeys high with two bays, has a replaced door and overlight, along with two 16-pane sashes, and its roof is hipped over the right return.
