Description
The garden walls and detached gate piers in front of Killerby Grange date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from squared sandstone with rubble outer faces, while the gate piers are made of ashlar. The walls stand between 1.5 to 2.0 metres high and feature segmental coping. They extend north-east for about 40 metres and are attached to the returns of the house. The wall to the south is interrupted by an off-centre pair of tooled gate piers that have rounded tops. The wall to the north includes a taller return section to the house. The detached gate piers, which are 1.5 metres tall, exhibit elowfered rustication and have square-plan ogee caps. These structures are included for their group value.
