Description

The former forge, linking wall, and shed located at the rear of South View date from the mid to late 19th century. The structure is built of rubble that has been painted white. The forge features a pantiled roof and a brick chimney stack, and it is a single storey with three bays. It has a central pair of replaced boarded doors, flanked by narrow six-light windows, and a chimney stack at the right end. A short section of flat-coped wall connects the forge to the shed. The shed has a rounded rear corner, a boarded door, and two boarded openings. This building is included for its group value.
