Description
Farm buildings to the rear of Number 12 are linked structures from the mid-19th century. They are built of rubble painted white and feature pantiled roofs, except for the cart shed which has a Welsh slate roof. The buildings form a linear range and include, from left to right: a set-back single-storey shed with a central opening and a monopitch roof; a loose-box at right angles with a Dutch door and a monopitch roof; a single-storey, two-bay range of loose-boxes with a segmental archway on the left, an altered opening on the right, and tall side walls that partly enclose two small yards; a two-storey, five-bay cart shed with three segmental-arched openings (one of which is blocked), four partly-glazed hit-and-miss windows, and a boarded opening above, topped with a Welsh slate roof; a long, two-storey threshing barn at right angles, featuring a Dutch door, hit-and-miss windows, and breathers; and a large square-plan gin-gang at the rear of the threshing barn, which has later infill walls, hit-and-miss windows, and a pyramidal roof. There is a 20th-century lean-to addition at the re-entrant angle between the threshing barn and the gin-gang, which is not of special interest. These buildings are included for their group value.
