FEATHERSTONE LYNNSHIELD NY 66 SE 15/99 Linked range of farmbuildings on west return of Lynnshield Farmhouse GV II

Linked range of farmbuildings. Early C19 of several builds with later alterations. Squared rubble with dressings; Welsh slate roofs. 2-storey, 4-bay barn now loose-boxes and byre, on left return of farmhouse, has 2 boarded doors in surrounds with alternating jambs, an off-centre first-floor loading door, several blocked openings and a low-pitched roof. Single-storey, 3-bay byre, on left return of barn, has 2 blocked segmental arches, partly-blocked doorway with alternating jambs and a low-pitched roof. Former threshing barn, at right- angles on left return of byre, has flush quoins, wide opposed doorways with alternating jambs, 2 rows of breathers on 3 sides and a low-pitched hipped roof. C20 addition with pent roof on front of barn near farmhouse is not of special interest. Included for group value.
