Description
Broomhouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of squared rubble with dressings and features a concrete-tiled roof, which was re-laid in the late 20th to early 21st century with Welsh slate, along with stone chimneys. The building is two storeys high with three wide bays and has tooled-and-margined quoins.
The central entrance consists of a boarded-over door with a two-pane overlight, all set within a painted surround that has alternating jambs. On either side of the entrance are 12-pane sash windows, also in tooled surrounds. The roof includes end stacks with top ledges. At the rear, there is an added single-storey outshut that features two boarded doors and two horizontal-sliding sashes.
