FEATHERSTONE LYNNSHIELD NY 66 SE 15/98 Lynnshield Farmhouse GV II

Farmhouse. Mid C18. Squared rubble with dressings, Welsh slate roof and rebuilt stone and brick chimneys. 2 storeys, 3 wide bays. Chamfered plinth. Raised- and-chamfered quoins. Central replaced door and overlight in narrow, raised and tooled surround. Replaced sashes in similar surrounds: paired 8-pane sashes in end bays; 12-pane sash above door. Steeply-pitched roof has slightly-swept eaves, coped gables and shaped kneelers. Stone left end stack and brick right end stack. Scattered sashes and a large 16-pane stair window on rear. Interior: cut-string, dogleg staircase, of 2 flights plus landing rail, with ramped handrail on 2 turned balusters per tread.
