Description
Numbers 11 and 12, along with the flanking farm buildings, are a former farmhouse and associated farm structures dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, with significant alterations. The buildings are constructed of rubble that has been painted white. The farmhouse features a roof made of pantiles and ridged concrete tiles, with rebuilt brick chimney stacks. The farm buildings also have pantiled roofs and follow a linear plan.
The farmhouse is two stories tall and has four bays, incorporating a cottage on the right side. There is a boarded cross-passage door located in the third bay and partly-glazed hit-and-miss windows. The steeply-pitched roof has pantiles on the left side and concrete tiles on the right, with reversed-stepped gables and raised verges, as well as end and ridge stacks.
On the right side, there is a two-story barn and a tall single-storey range. The wide two-bay barn features a pair of 20th-century sliding doors, a boarded door, a breather, and two replaced casements on the ground floor, with two partly-glazed hit-and-miss windows above. The single-storey range has a central boarded door and moderately-pitched roofs. A low single-storey shed is located to the left of the farmhouse.
There is also an added single-storey outshut at the rear of the farmhouse and a large 20th-century farm building at the rear of the two-storey barn, which are not considered of special interest. The group is included for its collective value.
