Description

Roadside Farmhouse and the attached barn to the left are late 18th-century structures made of brick. The farmhouse features a plain-tile roof with coped gables resting on square kneelers, an end stack to the left, and a ridge stack, both topped with a cornice. It has a two-tier eaves cornice made of square-set and diagonally-set brickwork, along with a brick band at the first floor. The attached farm building and barn have pantile roofs, with the barn displaying a dentil eaves cornice. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a four-bay layout. The entrance is located in the second bay, featuring a 20th-century door with an overlight set in a trellis porch. To the left of the entrance is a single tripartite casement window, and there are two more to the right. The first floor has similar windows, except the one above the door, which has two lights. All windows have segmental heads. To the right of the farmhouse is a lower single-bay addition with a two-light casement. To the left, the roof of the farm building slopes low over an outshot. The barn includes a full-height square-headed cart-entry and diamond patterns of honeycomb ventilation brickwork. At the rear, to the right of the house, there are lower additions. The interior has not been inspected.
