Description
Phippins Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with an attached barn on the right and a forecourt wall. It is constructed of local brick in English bond and features a double-Roman tile roof that is divided into four sections of varying heights, along with four brick stacks. The building has an irregular frontage with a layout of 1:2:2:1 bays; the second bays from the left are set forward. The farmhouse is primarily two storeys high, except for the right bay, which is a single storey. It has two and three-light casement windows with glazing bars, while the second bay is fitted with 12-pane sash windows that have exposed sash boxes. Most window openings have wedge lintels with emphasized keys. The principal door is located directly to the right of the projecting two bays and features a later glazed door. At the rear, there is a single-storey lean-to. The facade remains largely unaltered, and there is a brick forecourt wall along with the attached brick barn.
