Description
The Church of All Saints is an Anglican parish church located in East Huntspill, built in 1839 by G P Manners, with a bell-chamber added in the late 19th century. The church features dressed lias stone, freestone dressings, coped verges, and slate roofs, along with cruciform finials and an arcaded ashlar bellcote at the west end. The bell-chamber above the porch has a pyramidal slate roof and is designed in a Neo-Norman style.
The church comprises a nave, chancel, south porch, and north vestry. It has a three-bay nave with a plinth that has an offset, pilasters, sill and impost bands, and a corbel table. The windows are single-light with semi-circular heads. The west end showcases interlacing arches and three semi-circular head lancets above a large two-light window, featuring shafts with cushion caps. The porch includes an elaborate doorway adorned with chevron ornament and a plank door with scroll iron hinges.
The lower two-bay chancel has similar window designs. Inside, the church is plastered and contains both original and later 19th-century fittings, including box pews, a Neo-Norman pulpit, a well-crafted lectern, stained glass, and wall monuments.
