Description
The Old Rectory is a house and cottage, now functioning as a single residence, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of brick with a concrete interlocking tile roof and stands two storeys high, featuring a layout of one bay on the left and three bays on the right.
The main entrance is a central six-panel door, which is topped by a two-pane overlight and framed by an ashlar surround. The ground floor has tripartite windows, while the upper floor features four-pane sash windows, all of which are adorned with flat brick arches and stone sills. A cornice runs along the top, and there are shaped kneelers with ashlar copings. The building has end stacks for chimneys.
To the left of the main house, there is a lower range that includes a 16-pane sash window on the ground floor and a four-pane sash window on the first floor, both with flat brick arches and stone sills. Further to the left, there is a lean-to structure that has a 20th-century part-glazed door and a pent-roofed open porch.
