Description

This building is a barn and byre located north of Old Park Farmhouse, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings, and features roofs made of Welsh slate and stone flags. The barn is a single high storey with five bays, while the byre has two low storeys and three bays, including a right pent extension. The barn includes four full-height piers with openings between them, one of which is partly blocked, leaving the right bay empty. The byre has a central boarded door set in a stone surround, with small windows on either side under rough stone lintels, and a small opening above on the left. The barn and the right extension have Welsh slate roofs, while the byre roof is covered with stone flags.
