Description
This is a milepost located about 120 metres east of Park House Farmhouse, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular plan, standing approximately half a metre high with a sloped top. The west face of the milepost displays the inscription "STANHOPE/ 3/ MILES" and the east face shows "ST. JOHN'S CHAPEL/ 5/ MILES," each accompanied by a pointing hand in low relief. At the top, it features the inscription "WEARDALE/ H.D."
