Description

The castle wall behind Nos. 16-22 and No. 22A (St. Chad's) dates back to the 12th century. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone, with some areas featuring rubble patching. This section of the wall is located at the foot of the gardens behind St. Chad's College and is partly obscured by earth and plants.
