Description

The Castle Terrace Wall, located behind Nos. 7-18 on Moatside Lane, is a Grade I listed structure. This medieval castle wall has a later 18th-century upper section. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone and brick, featuring ashlar dressings. The stone lower part supports the terrace, while the brick parapet is adorned with flat pilasters and a low rounded stone coping.
