Description
St. Chad's College is a house that has been converted into a college. It dates from the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century. The exterior features painted incised stucco with painted ashlar dressings and a Welsh slate roof. The building stands four storeys high and has three windows across the front. To the left, there is a six-panel door set within an architrave that has a cornice above it. The name "ST. CHAD'S COLLEGE" is incised in the architrave below the cornice. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, set in plain reveals, and have projecting stone sills. There are three windows on the first floor and two on the other floors. A boot-scraper recess is located beside the door.
