Description

The wall behind Nos. 12 and 12A is a Grade I listed structure dating from the 12th century. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone and features a long stretch that curves northwards towards Water Gate. There is a square turret located behind No. 12. The wall has two chamfered courses at the set-backs. On the inner face, the gardens are situated at the level of the wall walk.
