Description

The ice house, located north of Count's House, dates from around 1800. It is constructed as an earth mound with a coursed rubble retaining wall and features an ashlar entrance. The entrance is battered, formed by two sloping blocks and a large flat lintel, leading to a stone-lined curved tunnel that is approximately 4 metres long. The tunnel has been bricked up, and the interior of the ice house is not visible.
