Description

The wall to the west of No. 13 is a Grade I listed structure that dates back to the 12th century, with additions from the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone, complemented by a brick garden wall. This high wall runs from Water Gate northwards to the northern boundary of the garden of No. 13 and features a wall walk. The stone lower section includes arched recesses, which may have been used as bee boles, while the upper part is made of brick.
