Description
No. 16 South Bailey is a house dating from the early 19th century, featuring a front range with an older rear section. The exterior is finished in painted render with a painted plinth and ashlar dressings, topped by a Welsh slate roof with some renewed brick chimneys. The building is L-shaped and has three storeys with four windows arranged in groups of two. To the right of the first window group is a partly-glazed six-panel door with a margined overlight, set within a Tuscan doorcase. To the left is a boarded door framed in wood jambs. The ground floor has three sash windows with glazing bars, all set in architraves with projecting stone sills. Boot-scrapers are positioned on either side of the door.
