Description
No. 7 South Bailey is a house, now used as a college, dating from the 18th century with some alterations. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick with a painted ashlar plinth and dressings. The roof is not visible, but there is a slate-hung left return gable. The building has three storeys and attics, featuring three windows. To the right of the second bay, there is a deeply-recessed six-panel door set in a Tuscan doorcase, which has a top pediment-shaped panel and acroteria. The door includes boarded panels and an inserted ventilator, all under a flat brick arch. The windows have similar arches and projecting stone sills, and the square-headed attic windows break the eaves.
