Description
19 St. Mary's Street is a two-storey building dating from the 18th century. It features a stuccoed and painted exterior with stuccoed quoins and a parapet that has a distinctive volute scroll at the left end. The building has a slate roof and is oriented parallel to the street.
The front facade has three windows, with a tripartite sash window on the ground floor at the right side, which has three over six panes flanked by a window with one over two panes. In the center, there is a public house front that includes a four-light window, panelled doors at either end, pilasters, a fascia, and a cornice. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a plain sash window with three over six panes. The first floor features three sash windows, all with three over six panes, arranged unevenly in distance and at different levels. The building has a cornice and parapet, with a steeply pitched roof that includes a stack positioned to the right, behind the right-hand doorway. The rear elevation has not been seen.
While the interior was not available during the resurvey, it is reported to retain some sub-medieval roof timbers.
