Description

Ebberley House and No. 22 St. James' Square Stucco fronted, probably over brick, with various bands, two at ground floor, and other decoration, all in stucco, Welsh slate roofs. Double depth handed pair with doorways on the outside. Two storeys, two windows to each. Two over 2 pane sashes, tripartite on ground floor. Round headed doorways with plain fanlights and panel doors. Ebberley House has a 6-panel door with keyed head and a tall pilastered surround with pediment above the key. No. 22 to left has a part glazed door and a trellis porch. Low pitch roof with brick stack on party wall. Cast iron spear head railings to frontage of both houses. The interior is reported to show no evidence that any fabric survives from the C17 houses. Rear elevation not seen.
