Description
Ebberley House and No. 22 St. James' Square are two-storey buildings with stucco fronts, likely built over brick. They feature decorative stucco bands, two at the ground floor, and are topped with Welsh slate roofs. These are double depth handed pairs with doorways positioned on the outside. Each house has two windows, with two over two pane sashes, and tripartite windows on the ground floor. The doorways are round-headed with plain fanlights and panel doors. Ebberley House has a six-panel door with a keyed head and a tall pilastered surround topped with a pediment. No. 22 to the left has a partially glazed door and a trellis porch. Both houses have a low pitch roof with a brick stack on the party wall and are enclosed by cast iron spear head railings at the front. The interior reportedly shows no evidence of any fabric from the 17th century houses, and the rear elevation has not been seen.
