Description
16 and 18 Gloucester Street are two houses built in the early 19th century. The front is finished in stucco, and the roof is covered with artificial slate. There are brick stacks at both ends, with the left stack possibly shared with No. 20 Gloucester Street. The buildings are three stories tall and have a two-window range.
On the first floor, there are two 6/6-pane sash windows with flat beaded surrounds. The second floor features two similar 3/3-pane sash windows. The ground floor has two 6/6-pane sash windows with stone cills and similar surrounds. The left door, belonging to No. 18, is a 20th-century plank door, while the right door, for No. 16, is from the 19th century; both have three-pane overlights in paired flat beaded surrounds that match the windows. The houses have a shallow plinth and a cill band that runs along the first and second floors. The interiors have not been inspected.
