Description
25 St. James' Square is a stucco-fronted house built in the 18th century, with a Welsh slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan and presents a single frontage with three storeys and two windows, the second-floor window being smaller. A doorway on the left side is topped by a pediment supported on small console brackets, and contains a panelled door. The windows are sash windows: the ground floor has a six-over-six pane sash, which is larger than the first-floor six-over-six pane sashes; the upper floor has a three-over-three pane sash. The roof has a low pitch and no chimney is visible. The rear elevation was not visible during a recent inspection, and the interior remains unrecorded.
