Description

The War Memorial is made of granite, Portland stone, and bronze. It features a square granite plinth on a granite base. Two rock-faced Portland stone steps lead up to a tapering rock-faced cenotaph, which displays bronze plaques with the names of the fallen on its front face. At the top, there is a statue of an 'at ease' infantryman dressed in field attire and wearing a steel helmet.
