Description
Apria Gir is a 19th-century building constructed with roughcast render painted over rubblestone, topped with a Welsh slate roof and featuring red brick stacks. It has a double depth central entry plan and stands three storeys tall with three windows. There are two band courses at the floor levels. The ground floor includes a porch supported by slim cast iron columns, which may also serve as drainpipes, and features a six-panel door. To the right, there is a canted bay window from around 1900 with plate glass sashes. The windows above and to the left are all plate glass sashes, with the second-floor windows being smaller. The roof is steeply pitched and has external stacks with offsets at both gables.
The rear elevation is only two storeys high and has a very steeply pitched roof at the main ridge. The interior has been significantly altered, and no important features were noted during the inspection. The layout includes a central narrow stair (which has been altered) and six small main rooms.
