21 Monk Street

Nos. 19 and 21 Monk Street are two houses that appear as one double-fronted house with a rear wing. They feature roughcast and painted elevations, Welsh slate roofs, and red brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has three windows facing the street. The central entrance is a panelled door with a pedimented hood supported by brackets, flanked by tripartite sash windows with 6 over 6 panes and 2 over 2 panes on each side. The upper floor also has 6 over 6 pane sash windows. The roof is moderately pitched with gable stacks.

On the left side, there is a panelled door for No. 21, which has an overlight and a similar pedimented hood on brackets, along with a small 4 over 4 pane sash window on the upper floor. The rear wing includes two windows with 6 over 6 sashes and an additional brick stack, although the rear elevation was not visible during the survey. The interior seen at the time of resurvey is a plain early 19th-century design featuring a stick baluster stair.
